The Journal of Awareness Based Systems Change (JASC) was created in 2021 to provide a platform for cutting-edge research and diverse voices in the field of awareness-based systems change. As a new journal, we have been delighted with the significant interest in the contributions—so far there have been over 70,000 downloads of JASC articles.

 

We invite contributions derived from traditional research methodologies and emergent ones, including those drawing on the social arts. We especially encourage contributions that work to decolonize dominant power structures of knowledge creation, that contribute to an expanded epistemology and, in so doing, help to change the landscape of science and social science itself. 

 

JASC publishes articles in the following formats:

 

Original Peer-review articles that contribute to one or more of the following domains:

 

In the making, a novel feature that makes innovative work-in-progress available in its early stage, accompanied by expert Discussant Commentary which locates the nascent research in a wider context.

 

In Dialogue, curated conversations making visible the relational knowing that surfaces in the exploration of foundational questions, comparisons and intersections between various bodies of related work, and current applications

 

….and announcing our newest feature:

Innovations in Praxis, explorative, authentic stories of change that link to and recognize the relational field and context in which new practices are being initiated.

 

 

The submission deadline for the next issue is November 30th, 2023 and the deadline for the following issue is May 30th, 2024.
