Liz Moyer Benferhat, MPA-DP is dedicated to the subtle interplay between how inner transformation feeds the outer transformation needed in the world. Through this, she uses tools in evidence-based development practice, education, writing and more to nurture and advance what this means in practice through her work as monitoring, evaluation and learning specialist at PI, as well as founder of We Heal For All LLC. Her passion for being of service was ignited by her Jesuit university Bachelor’s program in Sociology and then fortified by her Master’s degree training in international sustainable development practice at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. There she gained tools as a specialized generalist to work across sectors to design and implement evidence-based solutions to our world’s most pressing problems. Notable experiences in her journey include Harambee Youth Kenya (grassroots empowerment/poverty reduction), Minkay Colombia (applied research on Time Banks), UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDG policy & education), the Hunger Project (women’s empowerment/poverty reduction) and more. In 2018 she launched We Heal For All LLC to tend to the need for collective healing during these complex times. She brings all of this to her work as MEL specialist in PI’s SDG Leadership Lab program and in her work designing and developing PI’s System Transformation Metric, a framework and tool to explore and better understand change in system and self due to engagement with Theory U programs.
