Intention

A practice and application space to get our work out into the world

Description

It’s challenging to be human right now. There’s so much shifting and so much unknown; it is a lot. And, while we are more resilient to it now, it erodes our bandwidth.

And still, we know the world urgently needs our steady presence and our half-baked ideas to help create the new.

So how do we do our work in the world, today?

To do this, we need a place to be — a place where we can be real, slow down enough to sense, and keep moving forward without having it all figured out — that space where actual change can happen.

This generative hub community is for anyone with an openness and curiosity, and a willingness to start from where you are to continue moving up the U, together.

This is a place to:

  • stay with emergence instead of rushing to clarity

  • build resilience and resources to return to your center

  • bring what’s alive for you into the places where you have influence

  • try things out without overthinking or needing them to be perfect

  • cultivate social field listening and embodied presence

This hub meets you where you are and makes room for what you need in order to deepen and move forward.

Within this hub you’ll have a choice of practices, experiences and time frames to cultivate a community that is both accessible and sustainable (financially and energetically) for participants and hosts:

  • Experience Labs practices to prepare you to get work out in the world

  • Application Labs tailored to accelerate & move your ideas/projects forward

  • Community Sessions hosted conversations, rapid case clinics, islands of coherence, etc. offered at no cost

  • Discussion Space sharing insights and questions (yours and ours) related to getting our work out into the world

Two labs starting in October 2026:

About Your Hosts: Shannon Stoll Rabas & Rie Algeo Gilsdorf

We've been active in the u.lab ecosystem since 2015 as learners, hub hosts, members of hub host holding, SPT sensing and 4D mapping teams. We co-host the SPT Jam, an emergent, co-creative, edge-pushing space for advanced practitioners. We apply awareness based systems change as facilitators and coaches in schools, nonprofits and business.

We are passionate about working with the unknown, adapting u-tools for emergent situations, and holding generative space. We're excited to co-create this experience with you!
