The collated papers found here explore regenerative leadership approaches to navigate complex realities, rooted in local solutions while simultaneously connected to a wider, global movement of regenerative systems change.
If you would like to make a contribution to the Journal of Awareness-Based Systems change, submissions are accepted twice each year. The next deadline for submissions is November 30, 2023 and the following submission deadline is May 31, 2024. You can register for notifications of the journal’s bi-annual issue publication here.
We are deeply committed to providing a platform for diverse voices in systems change. Our commitment to representing a diversity of voices is reflected in both our authorship and our Editorial Board: forty-one percent of the articles featured in the journal are written by BIPOC and/or global south authors (either solely or in collaboration) and 60% of our Editorial Board members are from that same demographic.
The journal is open access, reflecting our commitment to democratizing access to knowledge and knowledge generation.
What is unique about JASC’s open access policy is that it applies not only to readers but also to authors. What often happens with open access journals is that the costs of running a journal are transferred to authors through author fees, which creates additional exclusion. Because the costs incurred running of the journal are taken on by the Presencing Institute, we are able to invite authors to submit their work without a fee. However, we need help to sustain and grow the journal, and continue our full open access.
If you align with our intention to create a respected and innovative publication outlet for diverse systems change researchers, please consider supporting us with a donation of any size. If you or your organization would be interested in sponsoring the journal, please donate here or reach out to research@presencing.org.
