The first online PFP launches next 9-11th June.
With the current global situation being our shared (and constantly shifting) reality, the Presencing Institute has moved all upcoming in-person programs to the online space, including the Presencing Foundation Program (PFP). This program will henceforth be offered regularly as part of the U.Academy offerings. The PFP launches for the first time next 9-11th June.
The Presencing Foundation Program is a three-day online experiential workshop that introduces the concepts and practices of Theory U. The program will help build the essential leadership capacities required to deal with the challenges of our time in a more conscious, intentional and strategic way. It is for those who are looking to transition from an ego- to an ecosystem-based leadership. Participants will experience applied transformation processes and tools, through a blend of theory and experiencing, and by shifting their habitual modes of learning.
The essential purpose of the PFP is to give people a deep learning experience that connects them to what they feel is next in their journey and activates the deeper level of the social field. It integrates the head (ego to eco framework), the heart (story-telling) and the hands/body (embodied learning). Emphasis is on cultivating a diverse, open and global environment, with attention to providing peer-learning time and fostering the quality of depth of experience.

The PFP experience is a practical application of tools to people’s most personal and professional challenges, that is broader and deeper than usual learning: it spans from addressing the whole system on the one hand, to the whole person on the other, with a vertical focus on connecting to source. The aim is to empower people to step into their own journey and follow their own path. Last - but not least- it activates a generative social field based on the open mind, the open heart and the open will, in service of planetary healing and societal evolution.
Here are some of the testimonials from participants who took part in past in-person programs, which may help you to make up your mind about whether this program is for you.
"The PFP allowed me an opportunity to truly grasp the reality that I can “co-sense and co-shape the emerging future”. The levels of insight and growth I gained are unmatched. I was present – with myself and other remarkable leaders in change – as I pursued clear direction in development. Engaging with this program felt like the necessary next step after being equipped with adequate knowledge of Theory U via u.lab. Doing both has been game-changing."
Tinashe Kushata, University of Cape Town
"Participating in the Presencing Foundation Program complemented and deepened my learning from my previous participation in u.lab. I was able to explore in more depth the inquiries I had carried through u.lab, and to find additional support for bringing to life new action in my local context. This isn't work that you do once and then you're done! The PFP has never been more relevant than now. It provides intensive support for anyone who wants to bring to life different outcomes and who knows that existing approaches aren’t capable of realising the changes that are needed. It’s for anyone who wants to improve their sense of what’s going on in the world around them, to identify future possibilities, and to turn new ideas for change into action quickly. It’s not for the faint hearted, or the uncurious. It is the single most impactful personal development experience I have participated in."
Kenneth Hogg, Scottish Government
“I feel I benefited a great deal from having done the U Lab in 2015 and then doing the PFP in 2016. The PFP enabled me 4 full days in my calendar to fully immerse myself in learning about Theory U and practising the various methodologies... For me it is also about dosage - the more I immerse in Theory U, the better I understand it and can apply it more meaningfully in my personal and work life... PFP was a worthy investment and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested.”
Sharon Munyaka, Port Elizabeth, South Africa
" I find Theory U deceptively simple at first glance, and consider it more like an onion with many layers. I find Theory U to be life-affirming. The interconnectedness of systems becomes increasingly clear and with that, the consequence of every action on the whole. It provides a framework to make sense of the current disruption of COVID-19 and also throws light on the possibilities which the crisis offers."
Hanna Kotze, Port Elizabeth, South Africa
