Description
- How can I learn from the future, rather than re-enacting patterns of the past?
- What will it take to generate “action confidence”--the capacity to connect with inner creativity or “source” as we move into an uncertain future?
- How can I apply these tools and practices in the organizations and teams I’m a part of?
This four-day experiential workshop is designed for leaders and teams at all levels. It introduces frameworks, tools and practices for sensing and facilitating profound innovation and change both within organizations and across societal systems. The program is designed as a U-process to allow you to experience the U-process in depth.
You will join about 75 others from across the globe and have the time to slow down, connect with core intention and draw inspiration from the collective capacity this gathering generates. Expect to connect deeply with changemakers, innovators and leaders across sectors, generations, continents and political sensibilities. You will leave with a meaningful long lasting network.
Social Presencing Theater (SPT), Theory U’s embodiment and Social Arts practice, is weaved throughout the four days to deepen insight and experience. Stories and case studies support you in customizing this tested, reliable approach to your own situations at home.
Case clinics are a structured opportunity to work through your specific challenges, projects and aspirationgs with peer support.
This intensive is of particular value to teams in the early stages of working on joint projects. While attuning your individual leadership capacities, teams can create a shared vision for their projects and prototype new ideas.
In our experience a good spread of participation across the sectors - corporate, civil society, government, academia - is part of the magic of this program. Since we are trying to ensure a balanced mix, we might contact you prior to confirming your participation.
What You'll Learn
The course is organized around different practices from Theory U’s awareness-based systems change framework, building on a variety of tools, concepts and processes:
- Theory U overviews– frameworks, principles, process, methods, and tools
- Shifting self and system from “ego-system to eco-system” awareness and action
- Applying Levels of Listening and Dialogue
- Personal and collective contemplative practices
- Embodied Practices with Social Presencing Theater
- “Case clinics” to cultivate collective creativity around tangible leadership challenges
- Actualizing emerging opportunities through crystallizing and prototyping
- Real world stories applying Theory U
Our guiding principle is that the necessary changes in the world occur at various levels, spanning from the individual and team levels to the organizational, cross-organizational, community, civil society, and industry levels.
