Hub on restoring landscapes through regenerative agriculture, climate resilience, biodiversity
Short invitation movie https://youtu.be/KAD1X3md2nE
Why:
Because our food-system is broken. (https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/opinion-scharmer-our-broken-food-system_us_5b06b0a0e4b05f0fc8455acb)
We do not have to explain here what the externalities are of the way that we organize our systems around food and agriculture. The price for nature, health, equality, etcetera is huge. The key idea of this hub is simple: the next wave of innovation in food, farming, finance, health, learning, and leadership will be highly interrelated and sourced from a shared co-creative 4.0 territory. No one can do this alone. And by developing a global community (out of our 4.0 oriented u.lab community) that is focusing on this idea we aim to increase our collective impact. By learning from - and inspiring each other.
What:
We want to open up an online hub focusing on this theme. To connect with global change makers operating in this field, to collect stories and inspiring examples. To support ideas towards realization. To create a new narrative. To explore collaboration on a global level on the future of farming.
How:
We open up this online hub-space for dialogue and discussion, questions and collaboration when possible. Secondly we will start hosting monthly online calls on Zoom, to create space for dialogue and meeting each other. And we are open to new initiatives to make this online hub a vibrant one!
The plan is to start with the beginning of u.lab and to continue after, participating in Transforming Capitalism Lab.
Who:
This hub will be hosted bij Dieter van den Broeck from Commonland. Commonland. An organization that guards and develops the 4 returns restoration approach and works in close cooperation with scientific institutions, business schools, and experts from non-governmental organizations, including Presencing Institute. The goal is to realize large-scale landscape restoration with local farmers, land-users and experts, based on sustainable 4 returns business cases. http://www.commonland.com/en/4returns and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4uRJRwSkzE
You
Are most welcome to join our dialogue, we will come soon with dates for the calls!
