Since 2021, we have been exploring the questions that the ongoing nuclear disaster poses to us, bridging divides and challenging the system to become aware of its own blind spots and to foster the soil in which it can make healthy changes on its own toward the best possible future in the new situation.
The Umitaiwa Core Team consists of five citizens interested in the nuclear disaster in Japan and U-Theory, and in addition to attending live u.lab2x events, will basically hold weekly team meetings and monthly expanded events.
In 2024, we will be prototyping the implementation of multi-stakeholder dialogues in energy policy, aiming for "a society in which diverse stakeholder dialogues function effectively in policy making, citizens are involved responsibly as actors, and governments comply and implement them"
