JASC is an online, open-access journal, providing a platform for cutting edge research in the field of awareness based systems change, a cross-sector, inter- and trans-disciplinary field emerging in response to the global challenges of our time.
We aim to make visible and accessible the knowledge base that supports transformative change for collective well-being, including:
- Theoretical and conceptual frameworks;
- Empirical studies of application
- Methodological and process innovation
- Generative, performative, and/or aesthetic contributions to the field.
JASC includes contributions derived from traditional research methodologies and emergent ones, including those drawing on the social arts. The Journal is a place for creative scholarship that is breaking new ground in research and further evolving this emergent field. We especially encourage contributions that work to decolonize dominant power structures of knowledge creation, contribute to an expanded epistemology and, in so doing, help to change the landscape of science and social science itself.

We believe the current times are calling for the work and knowledge of this nascent field and the journal has been well received since its inception with over 64,000 reads and downloads of the contributions from the four published issues.
The deadline for submission is May 30th, 2023.
