MAPA Project in Brazil - Celebrating Multiplicity
Jul 15, 2020
Back in February 2020, we interviewed the initiators of the MAPA project in Brazil. Then in July 2020, we were able to reconnect with this extraordinary group of people - pioneering the new narrative for the 21st century - during the Global Forum.
The first phase of the MAPA Project sought to reflect on female and male values, rethinking a narrative for the 21st century. Leaders from from different backgrounds, ages, class, race, gender and areas of expertise came together for 5 intensive days to explore and formulate a more representative map of society in its transformation process.
This vibrant ongoing initiative is realized by Suindara, in partnership with the UN Global Pact, Presencing Institute, Getúlio Vargas Foundation, B-Corporation, Approach and SESC, sponsored by Natura, and co-realized by Black Fair. It has spurred a community, a mini-documentary, and a paradigm shift for everyone involved. As Renata shared:
“MAPA was different from any project or process I ever did in my life. It started small, but it’s a very strong seed.”
