Marie McCormick
Marie is co-founder of Insyte Partners, a Theory U-based strategy and leadership consulting firm that works as trusted partners with leaders within and across sectors to address their most critical issues—creating new strategy, shifting culture, and building collective impact coalitions to create a future that is distinct from the past. The common denominator of Insyte’s work is creating the conditions for the right answers to emerge from within, rather than imposing externally generated solutions.
Marie brings a strong systems orientation to all of her work, and a commitment to meaningful action. She is passionate about mobilizing change, igniting innovation, and supporting people in uncovering their highest potential. Among her most valued partnerships is her eight-year relationship with the Department of Arts and Culture of Los Angeles County. This work convened diverse stakeholders including arts educators, entrepreneurs, the creative class, nonprofit and government partners, and more to center their voices in a shared vision for the future while uplifting and strengthening their leadership. Marie’s work with the Gray Fellowship for Principal Excellence in New York City uses Theory U as a framework for initiating profound change in schools across New York’s five boroughs. The network of over 150 principals is now instrumental in guiding education policy in NYC and leading innovation. In Philadelphia, she has worked with a leading homelessness advocacy nonprofit, Project HOME to transform their culture, led strategic planning for an innovator in the education sector (Big Picture Philadelphia), and guided both the leadership and the entire organization at the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) to use Theory U as a framework for shifting leadership and culture.
Marie holds both a Ph.D. in Organization Development and an MBA in Finance from Temple University in Philadelphia. She has been an active member of the Presencing Institute for over 20 years, bringing the Theory U approach to change to thousands of individuals at organizations across the country and within the Philadelphia metro area, which she calls home.
