Your Social Presencing Theater Practitioner Certification pathway culminates in an action learning project of your choice where you apply the methods, tools and space holding capacities learned in programs to your own context. On the Certification Workspace, you will find a framework for you to document your activities and engage in guided reflection on your learning.
Please note, your final Action Learning Project is a different project from those you did during the programs, but it can be a new iteration of an earlier project.
In the Action Learning Project Portfolio page, you will upload photos or videos of your application experience and share your learning reflections with us. You will be guided through the process on your personal, online portfolio tool.
You can only start your Action Learning Project submission after all required programs have been completed. Once you have started, you have up to 2 years to complete and submit your project.
When you have completed your Action Learning Project Portfolio submission, you will submit it for verification. This is the final step of the ABSC Practitioner Certification Process. Projects are reviewed monthly and you will receive an email when yours has been reviewed and verified. Once your Action Learning Project Portfolio has been verified, you will be issued your Certificate.
Social Presencing Theater (SPT) has a strong inclination toward action-confidence and social justice. We therefore view SPT application projects as opportunities to apply the practices and wisdom of SPT in a social context, creating impact in people’s lives.
Such a project may be initiated in response to societal, ecological, or spiritual divides that a practitioner encounters in their environment. A practitioner may either be invited by an organization or partner with community members to initiate the project.
The project typically includes the following phases:
Co-initiation:
Co-sensing:
Co-inspiring:
Co-creating:
Co-evolving:
One may need 3–4 such projects over 2 years to cover all SPT practices.
Please note that this certification does not entitle you to represent the u-school for Transformation and/or the Presencing Institute, to use our brand, or to be displayed on our website. It does certify you to be formally recognized as a quality-level Practitioner of Awareness-Based Systems Change processes, methods and tools, and to apply these in your own context. If you are interested in pursuing advanced level of certification in the future, please subscribe to our newsletter to receive details throughout the year.
